Soviet Peaches Literary Magazine
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
We only like reading good creative writing. If you know your submission isn't up to snuff, we don't want it. We just want to read some good writing.
For prose, submit one (1) piece of fiction or nonfiction up to 4000 words in length. The pages should be doublespaced. Use a standard font such as Times New Roman. If we receive a manuscript written in Comic Sans, the piece will be tossed and the authorities notified. There is no minimum word count, but it may be hard to convince us to publish anything under 500 words. But if that's your thing, then by all means, send us your world-rocking 152-word story.
For poetry, submit up to five (5) poems. Lay them out on the page like you would like to see them in print.
Please include your name somewhere on your manuscript. In the header is great. A title page is fine. At the end of the story is acceptable. We're not picky people, so just include it somewhere we will find it.
If submitting by mail include a SASE for response. Your manuscript will be completely and utterly destroyed when we are finished and will not be returned to you.
Simultaneous submissions are fine, but let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere.
We only print previously unpublished creative works.
As literary magazine editors/full-time students/slaves to society, we are busy folks, so please allow a few months for a reply. We will try to get back to you sooner though.
